Many women wonder
what pregnancy signs or symptoms they will be able to detect after
conceiving. These pregnancy signs and symptoms are signals being
sent by a woman's body to make her aware of the growing baby inside
the womb. There are a lot of ways that a woman's body will signal
her about the drastic hormonal alterations occurring inside her
body, and these include significant alterations in both physical
and mental health.
Common Early
Pregnancy Signs and Symptoms
• Morning
sickness
Morning sickness commonly occurs between the fourth and eighth
weeks of pregnancy, and a lot of women get this symptom beginning
about two weeks from their date of conception.
Morning sickness
is a misnomer because it can be happen at anytime. The most common
cause of this symptom seems to be the rapid increase of estrogen
produced from the placenta and fetus. Another cause for nausea
is smells.
Common foods that can induce morning sickness are spicy foods,
coffee, meat, and dairy products. However, it is important to
know that anything can induce nausea and/ or vomiting during pregnancy.
• Breast
tenderness
One of the early and most noticeable signs of pregnancy is swollen
and tender breasts. You may detect this sign when in bed, when
getting dressed, when showering, or when exercising. When you
become pregnant, your body starts preparing your breasts for producing
breast milk. The nipples may feel tender or more sensitive. A
lot of women find that their nipples darken in color.
• Light
bleeding and/or cramping
The most common cause of the faint bleeding that can occur early
in one's pregnancy is implantation. Implantation bleeding happens
while the embryo embeds itself in the uterine wall which usually
happens 10 to 14 days after conception. Bleeding induced by implantation
is very faint. The only sign is minor blood spotting on panties.
Cramping pain
that is like menstrual cramps happens early on in pregnancy and
occurs when the uterus starts to enlarge to build room for the
embryo to grow into a fetus.
• Missed
menstrual period
One of the very early pregnancy signs is a missed menstrual period.
For some women, a missed menstrual period is the first sign that
they are pregnant, especially with women who have a regular menstrual
period.
• Increased
urination
Increased urination occurs due to the increasing amounts of body
fluids processed by the kidneys which finishes up in the bladder.
This symptoms will most likely only worsen when your pregnancy
progresses.
The symptoms
of pregnancy are not the same for every pregnant woman. Pregnancy
symptoms may vary in their duration, frequency, and intensity. Some
women get a lot of signs and symptoms, while others get few.
If you’ve
got all, some, or even just one of the early pregnancy signs and
symptoms above, you should get a pregnancy test kit and get yourself
tested. If you have any doubtful outcomes, go see the doctor as
soon as possible.
