19 Weeks Pregnant

You're about halfway through now, and how have you adjusted to the pregnant life? It's time to look ahead toward the big day and maybe enroll in a childbirth class.

Protective fine hair covers the baby's body, and, if you look closely, you can now tell if you have a boy or a girl!

Your baby is now about a half a pound in weight, and your breasts have increased almost as much, about six ounces since conception. Your skin is also going through changes. Keep the cocoa butter handy to ward off stretch marks and to help with itching. You can't do much about red splotches, but they will not last. The best things you can do for your skin are watching your diet and staying hydrated.

Contractions may be occurring--Braxton Hicks contractions, which aren't quite the same as labor contractions. Your body is just prepping for the real thing. These contractions should go away when you move around, and if they don't, contact your care provider.
