29 Weeks Pregnant

The baby's body size has finally caught up to its head, and so you have a little guy or girl whose build is completely proportional!

As for Mom, your body is anything but proportionally correct! The fatigue and soreness are taking a toll, too. Soaking in a lukewarm (not hot) bath will do wonders. Remember, though, that your belly should not be submerged--just enough water to cover Mom's legs.

A lot of brain development is going on, and so nutrition is of the utmost importance. Overall, the baby is about 16 inches in length. The baby's weight is up to over two pounds, but expect his or her weight to double or triple over the next few weeks.

Mom, the energy you had during the second trimester has dissipated. Not only that, but the ever-increasing weight of the uterus is making it very difficult to get a good night's rest. Sleeping on your side is best. Indigestion is also common. Once again, your diet will play the biggest role in easing your discomfort--veggies, fruits, whole grains, and bran are most helpful.

Have you taken a tour of the hospital where you will give birth? If not, do so--it's something that will energize you and increase your comfort level for the exciting weeks ahead.
