4 Weeks Pregnant

It is at the end of this week when a pregnant woman will be hoping against having her period. A missed period is one of the very first indications that conception has occurred.

Pre-menstrual symptoms are very similar to signs of pregnancy at this time, such as cramping and fatigue, and so if you're on pins and needles wondering if you're pregnant, you may want to try a pregnancy test. However, if you wait one more week the results will likely be more accurate.

If you truly are pregnant, toward the end of this fourth week, the cell mass that will become your baby, or blastocyst, is settling into the wall of your uterus. Cells are rapidly multiplying and sorting themselves into the baby and the placenta, and the amniotic sac is beginning to form as well.
